Drone-ovic The New Tennis Coach

Things will never be the same for novice tennis players who wish to improve their game. Virgin Active has introduced a drone and aptly named it Drone-ovic after the tennis superstar Novak Djokovic.drone-ovic_technosearch01The drone hovers around the court with a ball attached to a thin thread which it sends the ball descending down to the earth. It can do this from various angles and heights. This enables the amateur tennis player to improve their game where they can refine serves and add the right amount of topspin or pace or smashing back a mistimed lob.

The Drone-ovic is able to provide feedback to the coaches and players with the 4k resolution camera it is equipped with. The camera gathers images which later can be used to assess the fault in the technique of the players and help improve their game.drone-ovic_technosearch02The Drone-ovic is available on the purchase of membership package at Virgin Active’s pricey London outpost, Virgin Active Northwood. The cost of the lowest membership option is £129.95 per month plus an initial £50 signup fee approx $232.93.

Gary Stewart, Virgin Active Northwood’s head of racquets speaking to the Daily Mirror said – “Drone-ovic recreates the serve and smash experience with greater accuracy. By dropping tennis balls from high and unexpected angles it keeps members on their toes and improves technique and agility. We think the Drone-ovic is going to be a smash with members and will be a great addition to our coaching team.”
