Gmail For Android App Gets New Anti Phishing Feature
Earlier this week after Google Docs phishing scam made news, Google is introducing a new anti-phishing feature Gmail for Android App with a vision to keep your email safer.
The feature included in Gmail for Android works when you receive an email link to a site that Gmail finds suspicious. Gmail will prompt the user that it could be a phishing scam by sending a message. Users can choose to either go back or continue to the site if you think it’s safe.
The new anti-phishing security checks have been rolled out to the user, though not all links they receive will be dangerous but it’s an attempt to make the users be careful before they click on links in messages they are suspicious. The new feature will help netizens identify possible phishing scam as it shows a full-screen warning which they can’t miss.
