Google Maps Android Introduces WiFi Only Mode
Google released the latest feature for Google Maps Android, it allows users to switch to WiFi only mode and supports SD cards.
In a press release the search giant quoted “Now, in addition to saving an area of the maps for offline use later, if you have a device that supports SD cards, you can opt to save your downloaded maps to an external SD card (if your device supports them) and free up storage space for important stuff like your holiday snaps or road trip playlists. Now you’ll never have to choose between snapping more food photos or the ability to navigate offline,”
This feature will enable users to save on Mobile data simply by taking Google Maps offline. Users can switch to WiFi only mode that makes Google Maps work completely offline. Similarly switching back to the online mode will give you the update traffic status.
This feature makes Google Maps App work in offline mode, users can enjoy working normally with other apps. The feature apart from saving on the mobile data will also prove to beneficial to save battery life.
