Twitter Launches Engage App For Celebrity Chat
Twitter has introduced a new standalone Engage App to help celebrities, public figures, and other influencers more actively engage with their audiences. The app is appropriately named as ‘Engage’, it is divided into three main sections which help separate the social info. The first section notifies you when someone verified follows or mentions you alongside tweets from the most loyal fans and accounts that are followed by several of your followers. In the “Understand” section you will get to know the number of likes retweets, mentions, impressions and more. It is somewhat like an analytics section.
Lastly, the “Posts” tab displays more specific details on the number of individual tweets. The Engage app doesn’t have the timeline feature similar to Facebook, as it needs to compliment Twitter with all the analytics info. Anyone can access Engage app, even those users who are not verified. Though this time it’ll be available to anyone on Twitter. The concept is similar to the Facebook’s Mention app which allows “public figures” stay on top of their internet image.
Currently, the Engage app is only available for iOS Apple users. Android support is not around as of now.
