Use Twitter Seva To Lodge Complaints
Times are changing for good, telecom and postal services users can now lodge their complaints with the government directly using Twitter Seva. The complaints and resolution of companies will be done via the Twitter Seva launched today by Communications minister Manoj Sinha.
The complaints filed on Twitter Seva can be accessed by the ministry officials and also categorized on the basis of immediate, mid term and long-term complaints. The Twitter Seva will enable the departments to respond in real time to complaints, assign it to relevant officers and track the complaints.
Apart from the government run telecom and postal services, it will also address complaints raised against private players.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Sinha said- “Complaints received against any telecom operator and Department of Post (DOP) on my Twitter handle will be communicated to the concerned telecom operator and DOP immediately for quick resolution and better service,”
Further adding to his speech he said -“I hope both government, Private Telecom service provider make use of this tool fullest to its potential to serve the customer,”
Twitter India Head for News, Politics, Government Raheel Khursheed said the Twitter Seva platform is free for government departments and the company expects to gain subscribers in the country from this service.
He said that customers simply need to tweet and the platform will pick keywords used in the complaint to forward it to concerned authorities. To be more precise he mentioned people can use four commands to escalate their complaints #DoTSeva, #BSNLSeva, #MTNLSeva, #PostalSeva
Presently the Twitter Seva is used by Railway, External Affairs, and Commerce Ministry. Twitter officials are in discussion with the Home Ministry, Health Ministry, MyGov etc in an effort to bring them on to this platform.
